Gardening Tips, Advice, and Ideas!

We cannot find a more relaxing and full of satisfactions hobby than gardening. We like gardening because it makes us feel relaxed and calm, and in this way we experience a stronger connection with nature. By gardening, we divert our mind from work or personal issues and we find the peace and the mental relaxation so needed.

No matter what we choose to plant – vegetables, herbs, trees, flowers – the activity of growing plants will satisfy our instinct to nurture and provide care and at the same time we get a healthy dose of exercise. It is known that gardening involves a number of different kinds of exercises, including stretching, weight lifting and a moderate cardiovascular workout. Working in the garden helps us to provide a challenging workout, but not in a stressful way, because we can concurrently do some fitness and smell the roses and we are not even aware of the fact that we are practising.

Another benefit of the activity of growing plants is that in this way we fight against pollution, we improve the quality of air around us and consequently we find remedies for such problems as the greenhouse effect and global warming. Since air pollution is known as a serious threat to humans, we can remove this threat by planting trees, shrubs and flowers around our homes and thus we contribute to reducing pollution and purifying the air.

So, we can conclude that gardening is a duty for us as inhabitants of this planet, but we can be sure that it will not be an irksome task, but a wonderful way of finding ourself in the nature and of observing things that we are usually too busy to notice because of our fussy life.
